Memberships offered

There are two complementary memberships (Consumer and Pro) and one for licensees of our quality and transparency seal “Ingredients Tested” and the interactive CA codes (Pro Plus).

Membership “Consumer”

Consumer access includes all the features we have already offered our members from the beginning, i.e. since June 2008. These are in detail:

Ingredients

You can search the substance database and gain insight into all details of the currently 10,004 cosmetic ingredients, which have been evaluated in a manufacturer-neutral manner.

Details of the substances are:

  • INCI name
  • Alternative names
  • Origin
  • Definition
  • INCI Function
  • CAS No.
  • EINECS/EILINCS-No.
  • 35,481 Properties evaluated on a manufacturer-neutral basis
  • 12,174 Quotations from technical literature with source reference

Products

You can search the database for products and filter by product category.

You can view all details and ratings of the 49,685 product analyses that have been created and published by members. Of course, you also have access to all the ingredients contained.

Analyze products yourself

With our manufacturer-independent ingredient database, you can analyze as many products as you like based on the INCI information on the packaging. If you wish, you can activate these product analyses for other members. Published products are marked with your member name. Product analyses can be changed by you at any time, the activation can be withdrawn or deleted

Your product analyses are immediately available in all languages on Cosmetic Analysis.

We reserve the right to check analyses and - in case of wrong information - to set them to private.

Brands

You can search our database of cosmetic brands and call up all the products of a brand.

Create favorites

You can save and manage any brand, product or fabric as a favorite. You can filter the favourites by brands, products and fabrics. Click on the star at the appropriate place.

Different languages

You can change the language within the application via the menu at any time. Currently we offer English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German. More languages will follow.

Costs of the “Consumer” membership

The costs for the offered terms can be found on the registration page.

The membership does not renew automatically, it ends after the chosen term. We will of course remind you by e-mail of the impending end of your membership. If you register again within one year after the expiration of your membership, your products and favorites will be available to you again.

It is possible for you to choose another membership before the end of the term. Of course, we will only charge you for the difference.

Membership “Pro”

With this membership we offer especially professionals important additional features that go beyond the services of the access for consumers.

Professionals could be: product developers, cosmetic manufacturers and cosmetic suppliers, cosmeticians and cosmetic consultants, doctors, experts in natural healing professions, pharmacists, druggists and scientists from fields such as environmental protection or toxicology.

But consumers who are particularly interested in the risks and benefits of cosmetics will also find a lot of interesting additional information here.

*The plan *Pro contains all functions of the Consumer plan* and additionally:

Filter for ingredients

You can filter the ingredient database according

  • to INCI functions (deodorizing, moisturizing, etc.)
  • and 35,481 rated properties (may cause cancer, microplastics, etc.) filter.
  • and filter the ingredient database according to substance categories (chemical light protection filters, PEG’s etc.)

This way you can quickly find alternatives to used substances with certain functions or recommendable substances based on their properties.

Filter for the product database

You can filter the product database for example

  • by product categories (cream, shampoo etc.)
  • filter by substance categories (products containing chem. light protection filters or PEG’s etc.)
  • filter by INCI functions (bleaching, anti-inflammatory, etc.)
  • by substance properties (hormone-active, soothing, etc.)
  • according to ratings (very good, bad, etc.)
  • or by specific ingredients in products
  • and of course search for specific products.

Filter for own products

In your protected area, the dashboard,

  • you can filter your products by name, brand, product category (cream, deodorant, etc.) filter
  • and by your favorite ingredients (parabens, etc.) filter.
  • You can sort your products by date of analysis and rating.
  • You can copy existing product analyses to your own account and edit them there as unpublished.

Cost of the “Professional” membership

Like the consumer membership, this membership does not renew automatically, but ends after the selected term. We will of course remind you by email of the upcoming end of your membership. If you sign up again within one year after the membership expires, your products and favorites will be available to you again.

It is also possible for you to upgrade your membership to Pro Plus during the term. Of course, we will only charge you the corresponding difference.

Membership “Pro Plus” (for licensees)

This membership is reserved for companies that want to use Cosmetic Analysis as a versatile marketing tool. Access is thus reserved for our customers who wish to purchase a license of our interactive transparency and quality seal “Ingredients Tested”. In addition, the multiple possibilities of the CA codes are to be used.

This is a complex marketing and sales tool, with which the quality of one’s own products can be transparently presented to customers.

For years, more and more consumers have been demanding greater transparency from suppliers regarding the ingredients of consumer goods and products.

Through the membership Profi Plus, the first international transparency and quality seal ingredients tested and the CA codes, the companies are able to fulfill this wish to their customers.

The possibility to use the seal “Ingredients Tested”

The company can use this to make clear and advertise that all ingredients in its products have been tested on the manufacturer-neutral consumer portal Kosmetikanalyse. At least 80% of all products of a brand must be tested and published on Cosmetic Analysis.

Create CA codes

The companies with Profi Plus membership can support their quality-transparent marketing and sales activities in their dashboard under the CA Codes tab.

  • You can independently create any number of CA codes for your licensed products. Our interactive CA codes gives every visitor full access to your product analysis.
  • When creating a CA code, you specify the language. You can choose from all languages in which Cosmetic Analysis is available. This will affect the display and the language of the product analysis.
  • You can enter a short description, for example with the intended use, to keep track of different marketing activities.
  • For each use, you can create a separate CA code to evaluate the success of the measure.
  • All calls to a product analysis via a CA code are recorded anonymously by us and evaluated in terms of temporal and geographical use.
  • You will receive an overview of the last three months of all tracked information in your Dashboard and can download all accesses as a table.
  • Under the CA codes tab, these can be sorted according to languages

  • and detailed information can be filtered, for example by entries from the description field.

Cost of “Pro Plus” membership (license fee)

The cost of a license depends on the quantity of licensed products and is divided into quantity groups for convenience. The prices can be calculated on the registration page.

The Pro Plus access runs for one year. To ensure the function of the interactive quality seals, this membership will be renewed for one year unless you cancel it at least 30 days before expiration.

If you choose the Pro Plus access after you have already used a Professional or Consumer access, the fee is automatically offset.

Payment

In the payment process you can choose either a credit card or PayPal for payment. If your address is in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, you can also pay on account.

For each selected payment method you will receive the invoice immediately by mail. Your access will always be activated immediately.

We accept payments in Euro or US Dollar.

The payment process is secured according to international banking standards. Please make payments only through our website. If you send us payments via any other way, we will not be able to allocate them

Data protection

The access to our platform is secured according to international standards. Basically we do not store any data or cookies of our visitors. Of course we manage the data transmitted to us by the members confidentially. We store passwords as hash with strong encryption. The data is only used for the purpose of managing your membership and will not be passed on under any circumstances.

The products you analyse will only be published if you personally choose to do so. Your products will be marked with your member name and not with your real name.
