Altmeyers Enzyklopädie

Cosmetics: Technically, phytic acid is extracted from rice husks. It serves as a chelating agent. Inositol hexaphosphate has antioxidant properties and can deactivate free radicals (Goufo P et al. 2014). The substance contributes to the repair of damage in the DNA. Both in vivo and in vitro results could show a preventive as well as therapeutic anticarcinogenic effect of inositol hexaphosphate (Fox CH et al. 2002).
