Nicotiana benthamiana hexapeptide-40 sh-polypeptide-47 is a fusion peptide of hexapeptide-40 with a single-chain recombinant human peptide produced by Nicotiana benthamiana after transformation either with a transient expression system or by transgenesis (stable insertion of a copy of a human gene into its DNA). The parent gene is synthesized to be identical to the human gene encoding collagen alpha-1 and containing a maximum of 1669 amino acids.
